1Judy (Greenstein) Davis hosted friends Bonnie (Marconi) Evans ’72, Joanne Sullivan ’73 and Karen (Dryska) Kelly ’74 for a weekend reunion at her home on Lay Lake, Alabama. Davis, Sullivan and Kelly all lived in Chapman Hall while Evans lived in Wilkes-Barre. Unbroken bonds continue after all these years!

Peter C. Zubritzky, PhD, retired in December 2023 after 35 years as the chairperson of the psychology department and professor of psychology from the Community College of Beaver County in Monaca, Pennsylvania. Due to his many years of service to the academic community, Zubritzky was awarded the honor of professor emeritus by the Community College of Beaver County Board of Trustees during the 2024 commencement ceremonies. He developed the psychology major and taught the first online courses at the college in 1995. Zubritzky also retired from the University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychology after 25 years as an adjunct professor of psychology in the College of General Studies and the Psychology in Education Graduate Department in December 2024. Zubritzky has been a licensed psychologist in private practice in the Pittsburgh area since 1999.

2Tony Vlahovic was inducted into the New Hope-Solebury Sports Hall of Fame on Jan. 23, 2025. He is the winningest coach in the history of the school and is humbled by the honor. It is Vlahovic’s 17th year as the head coach.

Ellen Van Riper was appointed as the city attorney for Gresham, Oregon, in February 2024.

Al Melusen, a senior staff attorney with the Benefits Review Board, U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), received the Distinguished Career Service Award at the 2024 Secretary’s Honors Award Ceremony in recognition of his significant contributions to DOL’s mission and sustained high quality and efficient work over the course of his 38 years as a federal government employee.

3Kristen (Kolensky) Waterfield was named to the Board of Directors for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. As founder and president of The Malvern School, Waterfield spearheaded a philanthropic partnership with ALSF 15 years ago that has raised more than $1.3 million to fight pediatric cancer while teaching young children about the importance of giving back.

Maria DiCredico-Waegerle opened a spa, Massage Luxe, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. The spa offers massages, facials and waxing. She was formerly a State Farm insurance agent for 30 years.

Charlotte Moser recently published the second edition of a book, Vaccines and Your Family: Separating Fact from Fiction (Columbia University Press, 2024) and has been named the consumer representative on the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the group responsible for making vaccine recommendations in the U.S.

Regina Costanzo-Krieger MS ’05, MS ’08 has recently opened her own private practice where she is an independent educational consultant, student advocate and academic tutor. She is also an adjunct professor at two local colleges.

David Brian Jones graduated from the University of Tennessee with a doctor of nursing practice degree (DNP) in May 2024. He continues to work as a nurse practitioner at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

5Matt Crouse, PharmD ’09, BCPS recently started a new position as the oncology pharmacist supervisor at Cancer Care Associates of York and has represented the organization at the spring and fall ONCare Alliance meetings as well as the Onmark United GPO Summit in the fall.

Jacki (Lukas) Eovitch MBA ’25 changed roles in June 2024 at Wilkes to join the marketing communications team as the associate director. In this new role, she works closely with the admissions team on prospective student communications through all channels. In November 2024, she graduated from Leadership Northeast’s Amplify program, a leadership program specifically focused on women.

6Michael Wozniak has joined the trial firm Lyons & Simmons, LLP, as an associate focused on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Prior to joining Lyons & Simmons, Wozniak completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Renée Harris Toliver of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Jim Risko MBA is currently an advisory board member for the Texas Industrial Energy Efficiency Program sponsored by the State Energy Conservation Office. He was a 2024 recipient of the Fluid Controls Institute Lifetime Achievement Award. He also recently published two articles in Chemical Engineering magazine (January 2024 and May 2024) and provided a two-day workshop sponsored by the DOE and SECO on steam systems for refinery and chemical plants. Additionally, he provided presentations for the Distillation Experts Conclave and the energy team at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

Bethany Pepe, MS received her master’s in classroom technology from Wilkes in 2009 while she was teaching family and consumer sciences at Mahanoy Area School District and living in Berwick, Pennsylvania. She now teaches family and consumer sciences at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Pepe recently received the National Teacher of the Year Merit Finalist Award from AAFCS.

Janet A. Williams, DNP, MSM, CNM, FACNM is a 2020 graduate of Wilkes University. She has dedicated over 23 years to the field of midwifery. She has a passion for supporting mothers and families and has assisted in the birth of more than 900 babies. She left clinical practice in 2023 but wanted to continue to be a guiding force in maternal health as a consultant.
Williams is a published author, having written two books, Transitions 4th Trimester Journal Transforming and Transitions: A Midwife’s Pregnancy Reflection Journal, that serve as valuable resources for expectant and new mothers. She served as the national chair of the Maternal Health Committee for Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., an esteemed professional organization of over 9,000 registered nurses and nursing students.

Hood recently published an inspiring children’s book titled The Angry Apple, available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble. With the release of her children’s book, she provides a valuable tool which promotes emotional resilience for kids from an early age. This heartwarming story follows Archie the Apple as he navigates through a particularly difficult morning and discovers the power of calming techniques to help transform his day. Hood’s hope is when children connect with Archie and practice the calming strategies with him, they will become second nature. Consequently, when children encounter intense emotions in the future, they will possess the skills to promptly adjust their day, just like Archie.
